Assignment #8: The Round Tower ~ The Edventure Hub
The Round Tower Assignment was about creating a hub for young adults who want to make their ideas happen in Frome. The challenge was to create a financially sustainable community space that provides opportunities for co-working, running workshops, hanging out on bean-bags, and events.
We are renting the space from the Black Swan Arts Centre from January – June 2013, and are generating income through venue hire, events and workshops. We are also using the space as our office, workshop and meeting space.
Community Impact
- Utilising formerly underused community space more effectively for the use of the community
- Enabling youth-run workshops and events
- Providing free workspace for young adults to make their ideas happen.
