Ethical policy
Our ethical approach
Edventure Frome welcomes public scrutiny and takes its responsibilities seriously. We are committed to acting with integrity and carrying out ethical due diligence across all our work, partnerships, and funding.
We will not support or be associated with activities that cause harm, including those linked to:
- Illegal or criminal activity
- Exploitation and harm of people, communities, or the environment
- Discrimination, oppression, or human rights abuses
- Arms trading or the manufacture of weapons
- Tobacco and harmful substances
- Environmental damage, including fossil fuel extraction and pollution
- Animal cruelty or practices that ignore animal welfare
- Unethical business behaviour, such as corruption, price-gouging or misleading marketing
We actively support work that contributes to green, healthy and resilient futures, especially where it:
- Strengthens local economies and keeps wealth within rural communities
- Supports renewable energy, sustainable food and land use, and nature recovery
- Advances circular economy approaches such as reuse, repair, and waste reduction
- Improves public health, wellbeing, and social equity
- Encourages learning, research and practical solutions to environmental challenges
- Celebrates arts, culture and rural heritage as vital to wellbeing, identity, and place
We prioritise work that is locally rooted, collaborative, ethical, and reinvests benefit back into communities. Our criteria will continue to evolve through learning, reflection and dialogue with our partners and stakeholders.
