Do you think it takes something special to successfully fundraise? If so, come along to this hands-on workshop to break into the mysteries of funding and glean some whistle-stop tips for getting results. Get practical input as we support each other to come up with an action plan to fit each of our causes to take away at the end of the workshop. No knowledge of theoretical physics necessary.
This Edventure Short Course is led by Ruth Knagg, a fundraiser with 25 years experience for a range of charities and Frome community initiatives. She will bring real examples from causes you have heard of. Please come along with your own great cause for which you could use some help raising funds.
Ruth Knagg, Fundraising Manager, We Hear You
Ruth has worked on both sides of the fence, both fundraising and funding. She is currently Fundraising Manager (Grants and Philanthropy) for We Hear You. She was responsible for fundraising for Whatcombe Fields and for Action on Disability and Development. She sits on the Board of the Andrews Charitable Trust and in the past has assessed funding bids to Frome Town Council.
This event is funded for residents of the county of Somerset of all ages by Somerset Skills & Learning. There is a £5.00 booking fee. Please, #nomorenoshows. Our funding does not cover BANES, Bath, and Bristol. For a full list of eligible towns/postcodes click here. Booking is essential. We will ask you to complete some paperwork and feedback forms.
The booking fee is non-refundable. If you need to cancel and let us know at least 3 days prior to the event we will be happy to transfer your booking to another of our short courses. Please support us by cancelling ASAP if you can no longer come – Edventure Short Courses are always fully booked and often waitlisted, and if we end up with an empty seat in the room it impacts our ability to meet our funding requirements.
