Play is not just for kids – it’s important for both children and adults. It contributes to building strong communities, improving health and wellbeing, and even helping the planet. That’s why Frome Town Council has developed a new play strategy for Frome to encourage more local play.

Join us for an exciting morning with fellow play enthusiasts and learn about the different forms of play, how to develop play in Frome, and be inspired by other playful communities. Plus, we want to hear from you. Share your own experiences and bring your ideas and challenges for input and feedback from the group.

Whether you want to create more playful neighbourhoods, start new play ventures – be that community events, regular meet ups or enterprises – or integrate playful practices into your work or organisation, this workshop is perfect for you.

The day is run by Edventure Frome, with support from Somerset forest school and adventure play specialists, Super Roots, Frome Town Council, Somerset County Council and Somerset Skills and Learning. It combines expertise from people who have set up play ventures, people who have experience of incubating start-ups, and yourself and fellow participants. Attendees can also benefit from 1-to-1 coaching and advice.

This event is free & funded for residents of the county of Somerset – there is a £5.00 booking fee. Please click here to read the essential booking information.
