Mend & Repair Your Clothes Session – with ‘Everyone Needs Pockets’ at SHARE
Holes in your jumper? Broken fastener on your favourite bit of clothing? Things lying in your cupboard waiting for that mend? Here’s your opportunity to fix them …
Come and mend your clothes with help from the talented volunteer stitchers and darners from the Everyone Needs Pockets Clothing and Textile Reuse Network. We will help you with your repair, showing you what to do and helping you with the mend.
Future Shed, SHARE How To and the ENP network have joined up to run a monthly clothing repair workshop at the SHARE shop, on the last Saturday of the month between 11.30am and 1.30pm.
Come and enjoy a relaxed social atmosphere of mending your clothes, with free drinks and biscuits to help! These sessions are designed for all abilities and many different kind of repairs. Please answer the questions as you book in, so we know how best to help you!
What we can help with:
– Buttons, fasteners, zips
– Taking up hems and some fitting adjustments
– Visible mending and darning
– Advice on how you might repair a piece of clothing
