The Welsh Mill Hub

Park Hill Drive, Frome, BA11 2LE

Frome, England, GB, BA11 2LE

Come and find out about the Mighty Networks community platform hosted by Edventure Frome, that can facilitate greater connection between us!

Mighty Networks – an introduction and training

Jenny Lachs has been setting up Edventure’s Community Hub on Mighty Networks with us. We are experimenting with the platform as a communication tool for the community groups and networks that are connected to Future Shed and Edventure Frome.

  • Are you working in community in or around Frome and want to know more about how these kinds of platforms work, instead of What’s App, Facebook etc?
  • Are you part of a network or residency connected with Future Shed and want to know how to join and use Mighty Networks? For example, Frome Families or Everyone Needs Pockets Textile Network?
  • Have you used MN already but need answers to questions and issues?

Whatever your reason, come to this in person training!

We’ll start at 2pm, then Jenny will take us through the Mighty Networks Community Hub so far and also introduce us to the possibilities with it – its best functions and uses.

Bring your laptop / phone and get in with the trying out!

Green & Healthy Frome are funding the setting up of the community networking platform and subscription fees through our Climate Action Funding. We want to create an inspiring, functioning and usable community platform.

The Welsh Mill Hub is Edventure’s professional shared workspace and community venue. It includes The Cave meeting room and Remakery: Frome – a community workshop for fixers, makers and do-ers.

We are aware that the Welsh Mill Hub is not possible to access for wheeled users, and we apologise for this. Due to the age and design of the building, we currently have barriers that will affect access for some. The Welsh Mill Hub is accessed via two short flights of stairs (around 12 steps in total with a turn). There is no lift available. There is no accessible toilet. Fire Exits in the building are stairs.

We are currently improving the bike lock up racks at the Welsh Mill, so bike parking is limited at the moment.

Please contact us to discuss access needs and we will do our best to help.
