Mon 4 Apr 2022. Meet at 9:30 at SHARE - A Library of Things
Join us for an interactive walking tour of Edventure: Frome and our local initiatives. This is a warts-and-all opportunity to experience Edventure first-hand. We’ll share the history, context and vision of our journey – both successes and failures.
Learn about our experiential approach to building community enterprise and visit some of our groups and enterprises set up by student teams on our Edventure Start-Up Course. You’ll get the opportunity to meet Edventurous people, ask the questions that are important to you and receive honest, nuts & bolts answers.
If you’d like to be more aware/get more involved in whats going on in Frome, If you’d like to collaborate with or replicate us – this is for you. Some wonderful collaborations arise from these tours and we’re looking forward to seeing who we’ll meet this time.
After the tour there will be an optional lunch and continuing conversation at The Good Heart – a one-year pop-up in the centre of Frome dedicated to exploring kindness. It is currently occupied by Tibetan Memories a friendly, affordable pay-it-forward cafe serving home-cooked Tibetan food.
Some of these facilities do not have disabled access. We will be walking between venues which are all located close to each other and we will walk at a leisurely pace.
Here is a group of people who clearly have the vision, intelligence and ability to recognise the needs of their own, and the wider community and respond with an offer that has relevance, vibrance and focus on the underlying cultural shifts required as well as a practical way forward. We have learnt from our visit and look forward to collaborating going forward. Thank you to the whole Edventure Team

Thank you very much for our visit on the 8th of November. As a Wells City councillor, I am working with others to plan for effective and sustainable use of the Portway Annexe building which we are about to buy from the County Council. We received from you not only sound advice as to how we can best use this opportunity but also a huge amount of enthusiasm and inspiration. A hugely valuable experience! Many thanks. Adrian.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for our great day out at Edventure. We found the tour really useful and came away with lots to think about. I thought the format was good, really well organised and it was lovely to meet so many team members and hear from them about all the different aspects of your work. I found the tour of the co-working space very useful and that has given me a great insight into what is needed to make a co-working space a success. The day was just right, lots of info and time for asking questions from the relevant people, I loved the walk through the town. I wanted to say thank you as well to Johannes, it was really insightful to hear his thoughts about the future, please pass on my thanks for his willingness to share with us

We would like to say a big thank you for all you have offered us today, your passion, your knowledge and your practical experience! All this has made our visit a meaningful one in all senses. We hope to continue to be in touch for sharing all the potential experiences that might come from the visit after being inspired by your work!
Thank you for a great day. It was so good to meet you and your team members and hear from the students. The tour gave a real sense of community and what a lovely place Frome is. The structure of the day was perfect and well organised, so a big thank you to you.
