FAQs
What are your opening hours, and do you offer 24/7 access?
We are open 9 to 5.30 on weekdays for coworking.
Dedicated desk members get their own key and 24/7 access.
You can also book any of our meeting rooms as space for your workshop or event at any time – get in touch about this.
Can I tour the space or try a free trial day?
Yes. You are welcome to try the space before joining. You can meet the community, test the coffee and Wi-Fi, and get a feel for the space. Book a free tour with James, our Hub Manager, then take your free trial day whenever suits you.
Can I take calls in the coworking space?
Yes, you are welcome to do so. Please keep your voice moderately low and wear headphones. You can also use our meeting rooms or the Edspace video booth for calls.
What is the usual noise level?
It varies from light chat to focused, quiet work. We welcome conversation and collaboration in the main space, as long as you keep it moderate. For larger meetings or louder chats, we ask you please use a meeting room.
Do you have parking?
There is usually street parking outside the Hub, though we encourage walking or cycling where possible.
Is there bike parking?
Yes. We have four bike racks outside and a large gate you can lock your bike to.
Are you dog friendly?
Guide dogs are always welcome. In general, other dogs are not permitted.
We can sometimes make one off exceptions for quiet, well-behaved dogs, as long as they do not disturb anyone working here.
Regular dog visits are only possible with a fixed desk membership, and only if everyone in that shared office area agrees. In that case, the dog must stay calm and not disrupt others.
Dogs are not allowed in coworking areas, meeting rooms unless the host agrees, or the kitchen, except for guide dogs. If a dog becomes noisy or distracting, we will ask for it to go home and restate our policy.
Is there space to have lunch or take breaks?
Yes. We have a shared kitchen and a lunch area you are welcome to use.
Can I bring guests?
Yes. For business meetings, you can book a room. For a quick chat or collaboration session, you can bring a colleague into the coworking space. Regular visitors should have their own membership.
Can I easily upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my membership?
Yes. You can move between tiers or cancel without a long-term contract. Fixed desk members need to give 30 days notice. All other members only need to give 5 days before the next payment cycle.
If you run out of hours, you can top up to the next tier with a one-off card payment. You can then choose to stay on that tier or move back down for the next cycle.
Do you offer discounts?
We are planning a small pay-it-forward scheme so we can offer some free hours in the future. If cost is a barrier for you now, we may be able to offer a small discount. Email James at james@edventurefrome.org to chat about it.
Can I receive mail and parcels and use the Hub as my business address?
Yes. If you have a 35-hour membership or above and your business is registered with Companies House, you can use us as your business mailbox address. We will give you your own pigeonhole on request. Please check in with us first as we may have to do a few checks.
Is the building accessible?
Regrettably, the building is not very accessible. The Hub is reached by two short flights of stairs, around 12 steps in total. There is no lift due to the age and layout of the building. We are sorry that this creates a barrier.

Kaz Woodbury | Hub member
“I love the people and the sense of community along with the buzz of ideas and support. I am a frequent hot desker and the environment is inspiring – vibrant, yet calm. My favourite time in the Hub is when they have a team of ‘start up’ students in. The positive energy and drive for change is palpable! Edventure’s working relationships with other like-mined businesses and charities really bring home the sense of skill-sharing and camaraderie. It has helped a self-employed person like myself feel part of something.”

Donate your old tech at The Edventure Hub
The Edventure Hub is a drop off point for Donate IT, a charity tackling digital poverty and reducing waste in the South West.
You can donate phones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers and more. All devices are securely wiped before being repaired and passed on to people who need them in the community for free. Anything that cannot be reused is responsibly recycled.
Bring your items to the Hub between 9am and 5pm on weekdays for Donate IT to collect.
