Esther Maughan McLachlan

Esther is an innovative impact leader with over 25 years’ experience in sustainability, policy, and communications. A Frome resident for 16 years, Esther joined Edventure’s Board as Chair in 2023 and now serves as Co-Executive Director. As Co-Founder of Collectively and former sustainability manager at Sony Europe, Esther has delivered cross-sector initiatives for systemic change, innovation, and social and climate action. Esther brings this expertise to Edventure, to accelerate the organisation’s impact to make change through social enterprise programmes and community action groups.

Samantha Evans

Sam first joined Edventure as a participant 8 years ago, inspired by its community-driven approach to social change. Now, as Co-Executive Director and Board Member, she brings her expertise as a performance measurement and evaluation consultant to help Edventure grow its impact. A whizz at funding applications and strategic planning, Sam is passionate about creating opportunities for people to thrive and empowering local communities to be resilient. When not crunching numbers or crafting grant proposals, you’ll find her happiest with her hands in the soil, nurturing life in the garden.

Sue Palmer

Sue works on community building and supporting networks and groups taking action on climate and health. As an artist and producer, Sue brings specialisms in participation and community activation, within the wider context of social and climate justice. Sue started working at Edventure through the Green & Healthy Frome partnership programme.

Project Manager, Green and Healthy Frome

Becky Lovegrove

Edventure is the co-ordinating partner in Green and Healthy Frome, a lottery-funded partnership between Edventure, Frome Medical Practice, and Frome Town Council. In her role as Project Manager, Becky works with the team and stakeholders within and beyond Frome to open conversations and inspire actions that connect the health of the planet with our own wellbeing. With a background in social work, most recently supporting children and families, Becky is passionate about social justice. In her free time, she is converting a van, enjoys music and festivals, and winds down by spending time in nature or on retreat.

James leads Edventure’s marketing and comms, and our community coworking hub. James enjoys turning ideas into action, with those driven to make things happen. Exploring new ways of doing things, rethinking systems + using technology & AI.

Annabel Crooke
Communications Lead for Green and Healthy Frome

Annabel Crooke

As Green and Healthy Frome’s Communications Lead, Annabel weaves together a cohesive narrative across all six of the projects, telling stories and raising awareness via the website, on social media, blogs, newsletters, press and events. Passionate about community and inspiring positive action for both people and planet, she’s happiest when immersed in nature and can’t resist a good bit of alliteration.

Terri Pitts

Terri has over 9 years experience in running the Community Fridge, and loves the fact helping the planet by saving food waste. Terri works with both Edventure Frome and Frome Town Council, and is a people person and love to help others, especially where food is involved. Terri loves to give someone a smile and try to make their day better.

Colin Atkinson

Colin is a facilitator and trainer who leads our Incubation and wider course offerings. He helps groups come together to bring ideas to life, drawing on 17 years of experience in adult education, design thinking, and problem solving for the public sector as well as his own time running businesses and community projects.

Youth Climate Action Project Coordinator

Chris Redmond

Chris Redmond coordinates youth-focused climate projects in Frome. An artist and facilitator, he’s worked in 20+ countries, performing and leading creative processes. He has been working with young people for 25 years in a wide range of settings. As Hot Poets co-director, he has partnered with the UNFCCC, Oxford University, UCL, LSE and the Met Office. Since 2020, his work explores the intersection of arts, climate, and hope—driven by a belief in imagination, justice and action.

Angela Clark

Angela first joined Edventure as a Start-Up Course student, drawn by its focus on community, resilience, and enterprise as a force for good. Now working in external affairs at an environmental organisation, she brings experience in communications and strategy to the board. She is also a coach, passionate about helping people grow and make an impact. She supports Edventure in shaping a more sustainable, connected future.
