Working together on practical, green projects for Frome
Future Shed is a space where the people of Frome come together to create a greener and healthier town in practical ways – join a workshop activity, contribute your ideas or get support to get your own project off the ground. Future Shed is run by Edventure Frome as part of the Green & Healthy Future for Frome partnership project with Frome Town Council and Frome Medical Practice. It is funded by the National Lottery’s Community Fund.
While we are still living through Covid, Future Shed offers practical pop-up activities in safe outdoor settings, an online space to brainstorm ideas, and one-to-one or small group support to develop ideas into fully-fledged projects ready for when we can meet again in larger groups.
ACTIVITIES & WORKSHOPS
Fun, Free Activities to Support a Greener, Healthier Future for Frome
We are working with local groups and organisations to organise free community events and activities that help people take practical steps to living greener and healthier lives.
DO YOU HAVE AN IDEA FOR A PROJECT THAT WOULD BE GOOD FOR BOTH PEOPLE AND THE PLANET?
We have set up a live ideas board where the people of Frome can post ideas and priorities. It collects together ideas that we as a community want to see taking place in our town. We have the chance to explore the ideas and support popular ones to develop further. The ideas will also help us to plan a programme of activities and events that can take place within the Future Shed.
Visit our online ideas board to have a look and add your idea or email it to [email protected] and we can add it for you. If you have an idea that you are committed to making happen yourself, have a look below at the project support that we can provide below.
DO YOU WANT TO BRING AN IDEA TO LIFE AND NEED SUPPORT?
We can provide start-up mentoring, coaching, meeting rooms, co-working space or help making local connections – free for anyone who is working on an activity, project or social enterprise with the potential to both improve people’s health and address climate change.
