Free workshops on creative wellbeing at make:shed

Interested in creativity for wellbeing?

This term, make:shed are running free, creative workshops on creativity for wellbeing for young adults 18-35 (ish) and we’ve got space in our upcoming workshops

The most effective way for people to discover our creative community is through recommendations from people they know. Do you know someone who might like to come along to a make:shed session? Forward them this email or this link

For our drawing for wellbeing workshop, we will be hosting a relaxing evening where we will develop some drawing activities for wellbeing. 

We will explore how different materials make you feel, and ask questions like: Do different processes engage or relax you on different levels?

We will play with different mediums and processes to reflect on how we engage with our creative endeavours.

Join us for a mindful evening of making as we learn to bind our own bespoke drawing journals, giving you the tools to start your own journey of creativity for well-being. 

We’ll support each other to set intentions to make time and space for our creativity in the future.

make:shed is a free, weekly, creative workshop & community for young adults (18-35-ish) in Frome and surrounding areas. It’s a safe, welcoming space for you to be yourself, connect with others and express your creativity.

You’re welcome to use our store of tools and materials to work on your project or have a rummage and get inspired to start something new.

Our team is on hand for guidance and to give you a warm welcome. And our urn is always on for tea!

πŸ† Huge congratulations to our Community Fridge Coordinator Terri Pitts, who recently won the BBC Make A Difference Green Award in September, and a  Commendation from the Mayor this October!

The community fridge has saved an average of 6612kg of surplus food each month from April to August πŸ₯¦πŸ₯–

A big well done to Loop: Frome who was Highly Commended for the Green Award  πŸŒΏ

We challenged Terri, our volunteer community fridge coordinator, to eat out only of the Community Fridge for an entire week

The Community Fridge & Larder in Frome reduces food waste by making surplus food from local businesses accessible to everyone in our community, run by a fantastic team of volunteers. Did you know the fridge originated with our 4th Edventure Start-Up student team in 2014?

Our next Edventure Tour is coming up! 

It’s a great chance to experience Edventure initiatives first-hand on an interactive walking tour of our local projects.

This is a warts-and-all opportunity to experience Edventure first-hand.  We’ll share the history, context and vision of our journey – both our successes and failures.
